Wong & Partners, member firm of Baker McKenzie International has strengthened its Real Estate practice with the hire of Tang Ai Leen as Partner. Ai Leen joins the Firm effective immediately.
Ai Leen, who joins from Zul Rafique & Partners, brings 20 years of post-admission experience to her new role. During her career, she has acted for some of the most notable local and foreign real estate companies on some of the most recognisable real estate development projects in Malaysia.
Her practice focuses on representing local and multinational property developers, investors and REITs on transactions including large-scale development projects involving landed and strata-titled properties. Ai Leen has advised on the full spectrum of transaction documentation in relation to such projects. Her experience spans all types of property asset classes including residential, industrial, commercial and office units, buildings, factories and machineries/assets, data centres, vacant land and Malay Reserve Land.
Ai Leen also advises clients on numerous types of real estate financing, ranging from project financing to end financing, where she has represented both borrowers and lenders.

Ai Leen holds an LLB (Hons) from The University of Birmingham, England. She was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1998 and called to the Bar in Malaysia in 1998.
