Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International, advised Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd, the largest integrated aluminium producer in Southeast Asia, in connection with its proposed AUD250 million acquisition of a 50% stake in Japan Alumina Associates (Australia) Pty Ltd ("JAA") from ITOCHU Corporation and ITOCHU Minerals & Energy of Australia Pty. Ltd., through its 80%-owned subsidiary Press Metal Bintulu Sdn. Bhd. JAA is principally an investment holding company which holds 10% interest in the Worsley Alumina Project, one of the world's largest and lowest-cost alumina producers.
