Leading commercial law firm Hill Dickinson is delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the 2020 Working Families Best Practice Awards.
Work-life balance charity Working Families holds annual awards to celebrate employers whose stand-out cultures and working practices lead the way in flexible and employee-friendly workplaces.
Hill Dickinson has been selected for the Best in Flexible Working award, which is particularly timely now that the Coronavirus pandemic has highlighted flexibility and agile working as key to maintaining an effective and motivated workforce.
Commenting on the shortlist, Carolyn Morgan, director of human resources, said: ‘We are proud to be finalists in a shortlist that includes some very worthy contenders from across a diverse range of sectors. As a firm, Hill Dickinson has worked hard to ensure our people regard us as an employer of choice and to attract and retain the best talent. Flexibility is a key part of that; it’s not only the right thing to do but has multiple benefits in terms of productivity, commitment and good mental health. It is hugely rewarding when our efforts are recognised.’
Now in their eleventh year, Working Families Best Practice Awards showcase and celebrate employers who are offering flexibility for all their people and going above and beyond in their support for parents and carers. Jane van Zyl, chief executive of Working Families and chair of the judging panel, praised the shortlisted companies in the nine award categories, saying that they were ‘standouts in innovative, agile ways of working.’
